Dr. Sarkar's expertise extends to consulting projects for various ministries of the Government of India, focusing on program evaluation and management. Peeyush Mehta is a professor of Operations Management at Indian Institute of Management Calcutta since 2012. During 2005–2011, he was a faculty in the Department of Industrial & Management Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. He obtained his doctoral degree from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. He worked as a Post-Doctoral Research fellow at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. After obtaining his Bachelors of Engineering in Mechanical from Jodhpur University, he worked in industry for three years in Power sector operations. At IIM Calcutta, he teaches courses on production and operations management, supply chain management and operations analytics.

About The Programme
A 9-month Senior Management Programme in Business Analytics by IIM C provides the perfect base to master the art of analytics. The lectures delivered by the great faculty of IIM Calcutta are unmatched and exceptional. These seasoned faculty bring a wealth of knowledge to the classroom, by facilitating case discussions, guiding analytical exercises, mentoring, and assignments. Moreover, the programme focuses on providing an in-depth knowledge of business analytics techniques and frameworks and their application in business decisions. The scope of business analytics is further broken into four main areas; descriptive analytics, diagnostic analytics, predictive analytics, and prescriptive analytics.
IIMC will conduct the examination and other evaluation methods required for certification. Successful completion of the programme will require a participant to
- have an overall attendance of at least 75% in the programme and
- obtain no “Poor” grades in the whole programme.
IIMC will award a certificate of successful completion to participants who complete the programme successfully. Participants with requisite attendance but with one or more “Poor” grades will receive a certificate of participation. Failure to take an examination will result in the participant getting an “incomplete” status, and no certificate will be awarded to the participant. Also, a participant without requisite attendance (of at least 75%) in the programme will not be awarded any certificate.
For corporate nominations, the company can confirm that the participant’s credentials are in order and as per the eligibility criteria set for the programme.
IIM Calcutta’s Senior Management Programme in Business Analytics spans around 9 months, encompassing 7 comprehensive modules.
The programme is structured to build a comprehensive understanding of business analytics, starting from business values of data analytics and progressing through statistical and machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to practical application in various domains and finishing it with game theory and simulations.
Featuring a blend of case studies, lectures, and projects, the programme emphasises practical learning for seasoned professionals aspiring to excel in leadership roles.
One of the best aspects of this programme is that 75% of the curriculum will be delivered in IIM Calcutta (in-campus) with 3 visits, in 5 days each.Whereas, another 25% will be delivered online via Zoom sessions through the LMS platform

Eligibility:
- A graduate (10+2+3) OR Diploma pass out (10+2+3) from a AICTE or UGC approved University
- Graduate with a minimum of 10 years of work experience
Candidates should meet the above criteria as on the Programme Start date i.e., Technical Orientation date and should be currently employed.
